There are many opportunities for parents and caregivers to volunteer and when you volunteer - all students benefit! Please visit our PTO List of Committees and complete the Volunteer Interest form by clicking on the button below and we will be in touch with you. 

 

Complete dcps' volunteer clearance process FOR FIELD TRIPS

All in-person volunteers at Key (including parents), must complete DCPS' Volunteer Clearance process, which involves a TB Risk Assessment, Fingerprinting (criminal background check), Child Protection Registry Screening and Sex Offender Registry Screening.

Parents/Caregivers should select the category "Volunteer - Unsupervised" and "Field Trip Chaperone" as this will enable parents to supervise small groups on Field Trips. LIMITED Exceptions

Limited exceptions may be granted to DCPS' Volunteer Clearance process in certain circumstances, such as: volunteering for a one-time, on-campus event like Career Day or Field Day; if the volunteer is under 18 years of age; or if you are a potential volunteer with an active secret or top-secret federal security clearance.
